| Abstract |
The aim of this paper is to provide the basic information concerning the improvement of the landscape design review system. It analyses the operation system of the Incheon Landscape Committee (“Committee”) and studies 164 projects reviewed by the committee from 2004, the first year of the committee through 2010. The schemes that this paper suggests are as follows. First, the function of the committee should be clearly stated in The Landscape Act or the Municipal Ordinance. Second, for the effectiveness of the committee, the operation system of the landscape committee should articulate with urban plans and other acts. Third, some standards should be established to support legal restrictions, not to follow the matters for the Committee’s decisions. Finally, the operation of the committee should be flexible depending on a type of projects. In the future, the results of this paper are expected to help the improvement of the landscape review system and the act. |
