Abstract This study is premise that Diffusion Model of Residential Environment Improvement Project is the process of collaborative planning. This study aims to analyze contents, structures, conflicts among the participants ins collaborative planning and to draw its values. The results of this research are as follows: Participation of external organizations, platform of dialogue, social learning, and confidence-building are important to finish the projects successfully. Ultimate goals of collaborative planning through dialogue platform and social learning are to reach an agreement and make implementation. Based on these results, requisites for collaborative planning are as follows: First, participation of external organizations is effective to settle discords in design departments. Second, preliminary actions are needed to have better communications among participants. Third, horizontal relationships are essential.
