As to the streets of the living space, the simple walking doesn't exist, but represents various acitivities and behaviors, which are based the characteristics of the walking spaces. In this context, the object of this research is to investigate the space characteristics relating to the behavioral characteristics. The case site is the Sung-an pedestrian mall, a central commerce street in Cheong-ju. As results, the pedestrian spaces can be classified as three groups, which are inner, middle, and outer spaces.
