| Abstract |
This study is intended to analyze the landscape characteristics exhibited in cases of waterfront space development in foreign countries in terms of planning factors promoting appropriate urban waterfront landscape. The characteristics and issues are examined through comparison with domestic cases in order to review the planning implications and direction of planning factors to be considered when constructing waterfront landscape. Followings are the summary of the study results. First, the guidance to establish the height regulation must be clarified. Second, when it comes to marine city, it is needed to consider creating a range of beautiful natural scenery and holding various events in order to promote regional identity since the city is planned in the construction area made by public waters reclamation with poor historical resources. |
