Abstract |
Heyri Valley formed an ideal residential area by creating a “culture and art village” through voluntary collaboration of artists from the beginning of its development. Furthermore, Heyri Valley attempted to develop an experimental and pioneering residential area, which would be differentiated from the previous urban development in various aspects such as the village structure far from a grid type structure, a variety of residential buildings and sculptures with modern design, production of culture and art, such as exhibitions and performances. In this regard, this research has been conducted on Heyri Village, a co-residence for many artists, aiming at explore how the visitors have felt it in psychological, emotional aspects, and identifying the placeness recognized by the visitors, by analyzing the exploring factors. The five factors that the visitors recognized were: first, in relation to residential environment, comfort, sense of relaxation, emotional stability, sense of freedom and cleanliness; second, in relation to constructions, genuineness, diversity, experimentalist and novelty; third, also in relation to constructions, harmony with nature, beauty of the scenery, delicacy and sensibility; forth, in relation to residential environment, naturalness, environment-friendliness, sense of change, sense of season; and finally, fifth, in relation to village, exoticism, sense of luxury, pastoral beauty and picturesque beauty. |
