Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of an educational program and outcomes of the maeul-mandeulgi project's process for Jeongneung 1-dong, which is one of the case of 'The Seongbuk-gu's Secondary Urban Academy in 2011'. It also is to aims to propose the improvements schemes of the maeul-mandeulgi projects by seeking their thresholds. To do so, it examined the theories on residents' educational programs and maeul-mandeulgi projects, and established the frames for analyzing the results and limits of the program's effects and the maeul-mandeulgi project's process. In addition, it proposed the directions of maeul-mandeulgi projects by analyzing the results and limits of the process, and the effects of the educational program through in-depth interviews with educational officials as to the curriculums and products of the urban academy. In conclusion, it suggests that Maeul-mandeulgi should be proceeded as a community movement where local residents 'slowly, consistently, and constantly' change everyday life by themselves so that it does not remain as one-time administration policy, which completes physical outcomes for a short period of time through a pilot project. Hence, 'Seongbuk-gu Urban Academy' should be reformed as a suitable educational program for a specific region, and local governments need to reasonably improve the support system so that they can function as a foundation for sustainable Maeul-mandeulgi. |
