| Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to compare the characteristics and residential satisfaction level of the residents between 2nd Residential District and General Commercial District in Gwanak-Gu, Seoul and to analyze the influential factors on general residential satisfaction. Followings have been identified: First, there is no significant difference on the residents? characteristics between these two districts except commuting transportation factor. The 71.3% of the residents are office workers while the 28.9% of the residents own cars. Secondly, satisfaction level of amenity and economic factor in 2nd Residential District and that of location convenience factor in General Commercial District was higher than the other district. Thirdly, in terms of general residential satisfaction, economic factor was more influential than safety factor in 2nd Residential District, while amenity factor has greater effect on the satisfaction level than location convenience factor in General Commercial District. The result of residential satisfaction level may be utilized as preliminary basis for policy proposal and design for urban life?s housing. |
