| Abstract |
Square of city is regarded more important than ever before. But the squares are isolated from periphery when they were developed on an individual basis without understanding surroundings. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between squares, which are disconnected with urban spatial structure, and the periphery by conducting site analysis focusing on squares. On the basis of analyzing the characteristics and problems of six derived typical pattern, the relationship of square and the spatial of periphery was examined. From the findings of the study the concept of "Block-street Square" concept was suggested. |
