| Abstract |
After the industrial revolution, population and environmental pollution have persisted around the globe. In this aspect, industrialized cities set up a sustainable vision that respond to climate change. In particular, several major cities in the world established a variety of policy measures to reduce greenhouse gases through a comprehensive plan. Yet, Korean cities do not have comprehensive strategies for carbon reduction to respond to climate change. Thus, this study analyzes and compares main strategies and schemes adopted in comprehensive plans of New York City, London and Seoul. As a result, it obtained the basic data and strategies to enhance low-carbon strategy by utilizing the comprehensive plans and found 15 low-carbon key-words. These findings will help Seoul develop the Seoul's Comprehensive Plan to deal with the climate change problems. |
