| Abstract |
This study analyzes influences of the satisfaction with the neighborhood environment and attachment to the location, on residents' participation in community-building activities. Results have shown that: 1. in terms of attachment to the place, neighborhood facilities have influence on identity and dependence; 2. service does not wield any influence on identity, dependence, and social preference, and; 3. transportation factors have influence on identity, dependence, and social preference. Seen from the perspective of attachment to the place, identity and social preference have influence on participation in community-building activities but not on dependence. Taken from the perspective of satisfaction with the neighborhood environment and attachment to the place as per residents' propensity, different participation rates have been noted by age and community-dwelling period. |
