Abstract |
This study analyzes how the change of potential consumer demands affect the density of food and beverage stores in Seoul. This study builds database of settled population, floating population, and employees which mean potential consumer demands in 1km by 1km grid of Seoul to do multiple regression model and spatial regression analysis. The main results of the study are summarized as follows; First, most of food and beverage stores are affected by change of potential consumer demands and autocorrelation coefficient is relevant at the 95% confidence level. Therefore, the application of spatial lag model is preferred rather than the OLS model. Second, influence factors which affect store density are floating population, employees and settled population in sequence. Finally, the impact of pedestrians are higher Korean restaurants and snack/gimbap stores in the food stores and non-alcoholic beverage stores including other pubs and coffee shops than other stores. |
