Abstract |
These days, interest in ‘Maeul-mandeulgi’ is growing significantly. ‘How is the research of Maeul-mandeulgi going?’ and ‘How much is the research about human beings?’ These questions are the starting point of this paper. The purpose of this study is to systematically understand how research on Maeul-mandeulgi started and how it has unfolded, particularly in so far as how this research has focused on ‘human beings’, andto analyze in depth the research subjects and research viewpoint. For this purpose, 117 papers published between 1999 and 2014 were chronologically analyzed in terms of basic information and research content. The results of the analysis are as follows. Firstly, having begun in the late 1990s, the number of articles on ‘Maeul-mandeulgi’ has increased between 2007 and 2011, due to social factors. Furthermore, studies focused on ‘human beings’ have recently increased. Secondly, many studies that focused on ‘human beings’ concentrated on the residents(residents’ associations) among the participants. and dynamic studies of topics such as the ‘relationship’ between the participants and the ‘process’ of community building were comparatively fewer than static studies. |
