| Abstract |
The Korean government established Special Act on Activation and Support of Urban Regeneration and designated ‘Urban Regeneration Leading Region’ as the basis for institutional and policy basis of urban regeneration projects. However, the government was having a hard time defining policies that fit to the detailed sub-objectives of ongoing project. Therefore, the aim of this study is to suggest systems permitting coherent policy and project management by reviewing case analysis of urban regeneration policies that was applied to the Single Regeneration Budget(SRB) in England. The paper conclusion is as following. First, in terms of agents, activated by clarifying the responsibilities and authorities of the partnerships. In terms of funding, SRB was ‘leverage’ for other funds, including other England public funds and private sector finance. Last, in terms of regeneration program and management system, the guideline of SRB gaves a specific object of the program and the result of program was evaluated based on the detailed reference value of each objective through a monitoring system. |
