Abstract The purpose of this study is to estimate the effect of the development factor of a water ?friendly city, the Eco Delta City on the spatial and physical change of adjacent areas. Hypothesis : 1) As a water-friendly city is constructed, spatial and physical ripple effects are brought about in adjacent areas sharing rivers. 2) it is expected that there will be significant differences in factors that affect each of the direct impacts and indirect impacts. As a result of the analysis, it was found that there was a significant influence on the spatial and physical facilities to the adjacent area, and the factors resulting direct and indirect influences were different. For Myeongji new town, highly accessible transportation plans linked with international business districts and commerce and business areas are required, and green transportation networks and complex transportation routes should be expanded. It is necessary to construct an industrial cluster linked to industrial complexes within the Eco Delta City when revitalizing the old industrial complexes such as Smart City renewal project of Sasang area. In addition, it is found that the metropolitan transportation network planning is important.
