Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to analyze the difference of community facilities and activities where social interaction occur between residents of sales housing and residents of rental housing in the Social Mix Housing Complex. For this, the community facilities, independent variables, are classified as physical factors of supporting space, welfare space, resting space, and play space. Non-physical factors were classified into residents’ programs and cultural and exchange activities. Social interaction, a dependent variable, was derived from level of fellowship, participation, and social support. The results of the t-test, χ2 test, and PLS-regression analysis show that the residents of sales housing with relatively high income, high educational level, and high leisure level, have a form of linked social interaction. It is presumed that residents of rental housing with relatively low income, low educational level, and low leisure index, have a form of bonding social interaction in a form of community space and activities that are not costly. Based on the above results, it is suggested that there should be a space for actual exchange, not a subsidiary welfare facility as a legal installation standard. In addition, it suggests a necessity of cost reduction and utilization rate improvement through direct resident management and talent donation for community facilities and activities. |
