Abstract |
This research analyzed the landscape of points in the areas of connecting roads from the former Cheong-ju city to the former Cheong-won gun boundary. Landscape factors were determined by analysing photos taken on the field. Each weighting factor was set up by conducting expert survey asking its level of importance. Landscape-scores were calculated by summing up all values obtained by multiplying the percentage of a factor shown in each photo by its weight. 'Heoung-duk-7' has the highest score, whereas 'Sang-dang-1' shows the lowest. All points are classified into 3 groups; high, middle, and low according to their ranking. Also, each factor is categorized whether it mainly contributed to desirable or undesirable landscape. There are 6 factors that affect desirable landscape; special facilities (for traffic facility), retaining wall, street tree, green area, guide sign, and top-shaped structure. And 12 factors have negative influence on landscape; gas station, special buildings(for military, broadcasting communication use, and power facilities), outdoor advertising, median strip, residential building, commercial building, telegraph pole, sidewalk, street lamp, sky, road (surface), and wire. Constructing quantitative data related to approaching landscape of Cheong-ju city, this research is expected to be used as a reference for the landscape improvement of the city. Also, considering the visual characteristic of the approaching landscape, some sculptures to introduce the city and guide signs at any point will improve the landscape. |
