Abstract |
This study examined how youth space created for the purpose of influx and settlement of populations of young people in areas at risk of local extinction would affect sustainable settlements and researched 4 youth spaces in Wanju-gun in order to grasp how much space would influence in each stage of settlement. The following results of the analysis were obtained; Youth space influences young people’s intentions for sustainable settlements. And the more highly they feel satisfied with space, the higher their intention of sustainable settlements becomes. Therefore, in order to raise young people’s intention for sustainable settlements, the physical environment of the youth space needs to be improved. In addition, young people in the early stage of the settlement have high importance of space than those in the late stage of settlement. The meaning of it can be interpreted that young people in the early stage of the settlement are greatly influenced by youth space. Therefore, the direction of operating the space needs to be adapted to the young people in the early stage of the settlement. The result of this study will help to establish the operation object and direction and be used as basic references for the planning of youth space. In addition, as the youth space discovers the role of the possibility that allows young people in the early stage of the settlement to proceed to the late stage of settlement, this study may be a guidance of the program plan as well. |
