Abstract This research aims to propose the new integrated urban design of the Goyang Silicon Valley, that focuses more on water system, green network, and street connectivity, unlikely the previous master plan which is focused on land use and traffic. There are substantial difficulties to cooperate among different developers and stakeholders, but the research would propose new possibilities to unite several projects and improve a quality of urban space through water and green networks. First of all, it improve water quality of water networks and specialize waterfront space to make a new city identity. The waterfront space also helps to intensify the linkage among projects and improve vitality of new city with waterfront activities and programs. Secondly, the network of green space would support to integrate urban space of site and improve connectivity with important green resources surrounding area. The research would propose new strategies of urban design with the water and green networks to integrate urban projects. The integrated urban design stresses the necessity of integrating urban projects, and shows new possibility of studio-based urban design process.
