Abstract The landscape architectural archive is now in its beginning stage in Korea, with the purpose the research is to collect ordinary stories of everyday life of Bukchon residences, to organize and to categorize them, and to create unique contents and meanings of everyday life history as “village archive” within multi-perspectives. In order to collect research materials from 1910s to 2010s in Bukchon; focused on Gyedong, Jaedong and Wonseodong, in-depth interviews and reviews of urban history are required. The eighteen sites based on the functional, historical, and spiritual characteristics were complied into following five contents. First, everyday places of education, health and administration; second, ordinary places for everyday life; third, historical sites of the Joseon Dynasty; forth, cultural, commercial, and religious places of the modern and contemporary era in Korea; the last, places related to the independence movement during the Japanese colonial period. Furthermore, the research proposed a method of application for sustainable purpose. The study is significant as it shows the first progressive research analyzing contents; 『A Hundred Year Map of Bukchon, the Time Traveller’s Map』, and meanings for the “village archive” as a cornerstone for further researches.
