Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to analyze the usage and disaster resilience of public sharing facilities in Seoul during the COVID-19 Pandemic. For this, the study conducted, focused on six main sharing facilities managed by Seoul, analysis on the changes in usage before and after the COVID-19 Pandemic, AHP analysis on disaster resilience components, field survey and official documents collection, and disaster resilience analysis. As a result, the study reached the following conclusions: First, public sharing facilities in Seoul were affected by COVID-19. Some facilities have increased their usage, while others have decreased due to closures. Second, according to the AHP analysis conducted on users and managers of public sharing facilities in Seoul, robustness was selected as the most important factor among disaster resilience components(including redundancy, rapidity, resourcefulness). Robustness is a component related to distancing and corresponds to a direct response compared to other components. Third, the Seoul Startup Cafe showed the biggest disaster resilience based on the analysis of disaster resilience on the COVID-19 response method of public sharing facilities in Seoul. However, the Seoul Startup Cafe also needs to appropriate interventions to improve disaster resilience in the future. This study is meaningful as a record of the early crisis and response of the COVID-19 Pandemic as well as empirical analysis of public facilities in Seoul. |
