| Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the environmental characteristics of Dongdaegu Station and Daegu Station from the perspective of vitalizing the station area, and then look at the improvement measures for the relatively backward Daegu station. Evaluation items for comparative analysis were largely divided into spatial structures, plaza, and commercial area and street environment, and analysis was conducted through GIS and field evaluation. As a result of the analysis, in the case of spatial structure, Daegu Station was found to be relatively superior in terms of land use diversity and public transportation supply due to its location in the old downtown. But the structural system of roads and the environment of buildings were found to be lower than those of Dongdaegu Station. In the cases of plaza and commercial area and street environments, most evaluation items of Daegu Station were generally rated lower than that of Dongdaegu Station. On the other hand, Daegu Station appeared to show a disconnection between the southern and northern commercial area. In addition, it is expected that this study can be used as a reference when implementing the actual Daegu revitalization project in the future. |
