Abstract |
This study aims to explore the ways in which golf courses in the Incheon International Airport 1st International Business Complex can increase the value of the city from the perspective of urban regeneration through the analysis of the design process and master plan of the public golf course design competition winners in the urban idle site. The contents to be reviewed when designing a golf course on an idle land in an urban reclamation were considered as follows. First, it is necessary to increase accessibility and openness so that it can function as an urban green infrastructure, and to capitalize the golf course view value as place asset. Second, it is necessary to establish a differentiated golf course concept that can overcome the geographical limitations of reclaimed flat land. Third, it is necessary to establish the minimum earthwork planning level, drainage plan, and salt blocking plan considering the flood level and groundwater. Fourth, it is necessary to establish a landscape plan converting the horizontal landscape context of the landfill site into a unique landscape element. Accordingly, this study has significance in that it suggests a comprehensive master plan process by presenting a new concept for a golf course with unique spatiality and scenery as spatial alternative to the urban reclamation idle site behind Incheon International Airport, the normative design criteria for realizing urban idle site as a reclaimed golf course. |
