Abstract |
The process of acquiring and processing photographic images is comparable toorientation, center setting, definition, and domestication, which chronologicallyexplain the creation of a phenomenological place. This study interprets the identityof the place in the photos of the golf promotion calendar for the past 5 years andthe results are known as follows:1)‘orientation’ reveals the communication with thegeneral public, both consumers of information and potential participants in golfactivities, 2)‘center setting’ captures a dramatic landscape by utilizing elements seenfrom the height of the gaze as the visual focus, 3)‘definition’pursues image thatwas assimilated with nature while reflecting the characteristics of the location, and4)‘domestication’provides inspiration of aura through the reproduction of temporarylandscapes centered on winter and off-season. These characteristics, which emphasizethe physical, temporal, and human location identity of the golf course environment,could provide and immerse places to the public. Future studies that delve into thevalues and orders within the landscape of everyday life are expected. |
