Abstract |
This study identified the category of non-residential urban-style Hanok facade thatusers perceive as ‘like a Hanok’ and derived determinants that make users perceive itas a Hanok. To this end, facade Photo data was produced for the Ikseon-dong HanokConservation Area, and a category that users perceive as Hanok-like was derivedthrough cluster analysis, user sensibility evaluation, and analysis of variance. Inaddition, through the ‘reduct’ and rule induction of the Rough set, the determinantsthat make users recognize Hanok were derived. According to the study, whennon-residential urban-style Hanok follows the rules of maintaining the existing facadeas much as possible without installing a new facade structure while the Cheoma areexposed, users clearly recognize them as Hanok. When the facade is transformed, itwas found that if the existing facade form was left as much as possible, the userclearly recognized it as a Hanok. Alternatively, when the facade of a Hanok istransformed, the entire wooden pillar is completely exposed and the main structure ofthe Hanok is exposed to the outside, the user clearly recognizes it as a Hanok. |
