Abstract This study presents the procedural concept of a qualitative value integration planusing geodesign by examining Montgomery County, Virginia case. To this end, among the six stages of the geodesign framework, a step-by-step approach focusingon the impact model and the decision model is presented. The geodesign approachis an attempt to apply systems thinking using geographic knowledge by reflectingsocial learning and collective action. In particular, it has potential in derivingalternatives that integrate social values as one of the planning support systems. Inthis study, demand analysis, alternative design, change impact analysis, and trade-offanalysis of conflicting values were conducted along with a contemplative process onthe future urban development potential of Montgomery County. Since the geodesignframework created on the premise of collaboration is also a tool created based on aseries of scientific foundations, there are limitations in terms of structure and formatfor qualitative value analysis. Therefore, it is necessary to grasp its effectivenessthrough continuous monitoring.
