| Abstract |
This research aims to broaden the view on the possibility of tactical urbanismapplication in urban planning and design area. The argument of this paper is on topof a network analysis (UCINET) and a thematic analysis of the selected documentsand in-depth interview data. The interviews were conducted with 4 experts whowere in the managing position of tactical urbanism projects. The analysis has foundfour distinctive tactical urbanism themes: a learning-by-doing urban design, effectiveinterconnections between actors, a connection tool between formal and informalareas, and an iterative process of urban design. These themes expand discourse andpossibility of tactical urbanism. It can be also argued that we need to seek formore flexible planning system accommodating the tactical urbanism approach. |
