Abstract In this study, it is intended to confirm when industrial facilities in Korea were recognized as objects of heritage, and to review and categorize the current status of industrial facilities being conserved and utilized. The goal of this study is to confirm the difference between the conservation and reuse of industrial facilities by 16 cities and provinces and what is the background. As a result of analyzing the use of industrial facilities, it was the most often converted to cultural facilities nationwide. Finally, as a result of reviewing whether or not the original use was reflected in the case of conversion to cultural facilities, the original use was not reflected in cases other than representative industries such as warehouses. As a result of examining the preservation and reuse of industrial facilities in mining and manufacturing industries nationwide, it was found that the policy role of each city and province and the efforts of the owners were important for the conservation and management of industrial facilities. But the regional revitalization policy of each province and the regional representation of the industry were important for the reuse of original use.
