Abstract |
This study aims to present a comprehensive strategy and framework for implementing landscape agreements tailored to the specific attributes of target sites, with a primary focus on enhancing residents’ awareness of prospective island development. This goes beyond mere physical enhancements by incorporating strategies to elevate the quality of the landscape. To thoroughly comprehend the distinct features of the designated target site and island locale, an in-depth analysis is conducted through landscape resource surveys and direct engagement with residents, thereby extracting vital insights to inform the landscape agreement considerations (drafts). Subsequently, a multifaceted approach involving resident education, workshops, and expert consultations is employed to formulate both an operational plan and a landscape agreement proposal for the island region. In the case of island areas, it becomes imperative to establish consensus and engage in collaborative processes among residents. This entails addressing issues prevalent in fishing villages, tackling challenges tied to transportation infrastructure, specifically the prevalence of access roads functioning as ports and optimizing the utilization of communal spaces. Additionally, matters related to landscape enhancement and management, the aging demographic, and future developmental scenarios must be taken into account. The formulation of landscape agreements is inherently flexible, adapting to the unique attributes of each region and incorporating the perspectives of residents. The significance lies in their potential to establish a framework for conflict resolution agreements, fostering harmonious coexistence among residents while orchestrating the operational dynamics. |
