Abstract |
Recently, local authorities have been exploring strategies to address local depopulation by leveraging local creators, highlighting the need for governance that enables diverse stakeholders in local cities to collaborate and unite. In response, this study conducted in-depth interviews with key stakeholders operating in Yeongdo-gu, Busan, to examine the roles and characteristics of local creators and analyze key issues and challenges related to the establishment of governance based on local creators. The results of the analysis are as follows: First, to establish governance, a clear definition and classification of local creators are required. Second, Local authorities should foster governance by preserving equilibrium and harmony between the public and private sectors. Third, it is essential to build networks that enable local creators to collaborate and stimulate creative and innovative activities, thereby expanding governance. Fourth, in order to sustain governance, there is a need for an attitude of mutual understanding and respect between residents and local creators from different generations and cultural backgrounds. The findings of this study can serve as foundational material for the development of strategies for governance establishment and addressing local depopulation based on local creators. |
