Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to identify youth-dense areas in Seoul, categorize them based on generational composition, and subsequently analyze the spatial distribution of youth facilities. The results of the study are as follows. First, youth-dense areas in Seoul were classified into categories such as areas densely populated with multi-generational youth households, areas densely populated with single-person youth households, and areas densely populated with a well-balanced composition of youth across generations. Second, areas with poor spatial accessibility to youth facilities were identified as follows: among the areas densely populated with multi-generational youth households, Gangdong-gu Sangil 2-dong, Mapo-gu Sangam-dong, etc; among the areas densely populated with single-person youth households, Jung-gu Pildong and Seodaemun-gu Yeonhui-dong; among the areas densely populated with a well-balanced composition of youth across generations, Jung-gu Myeongdong, Seongbuk-gu Jeongneung 3-dong, etc. Third, concerning functional youth facilities, it was determined that prioritizing the supply of childcare and educational facilities is crucial in areas densely populated with multi-generational youth households and ensuring accessibility to youth spaces is essential in areas densely populated with single-person youth households. This study provide insights for the formulation of youth policies in the realms of housing and welfare. |
