Abstract Recently, the Seoul government has established a Reorganization Plan of Old Public Housing Complexes. According to the aging of residents progressed with complex’s aging and the transition to a super-aged society, it is important to supply elderly required facilities through the Reorganization Plan. Therefore, The aim of this paper is to derive the supply and demand characteristics of elderly required facilities in 34 complexes and neighboring areas, and the conclusions were as following. First, as the demand level for facilities required for the elderly in complexes and neighboring areas is high, facility supply plans are necessary. Second, statistically significant differences were found in a total of 15 out of 24 indicators of demand and supply characteristics in the plan target areas. Third, it was classified into four types with four characteristics: ‘type with good supply level’, ‘type with insufficient quantitative supply level compared to accessibility’, ‘type with lack of public sports facilities within the walking area’, and ‘type with poor supply level of facilities’.
