Abstract |
This study proposes a strategic framework for developing Gimhae, South Korea, into a Tri-Port-based smart logistics city linked to Busan New Port, Jinhae New Port, the planned Gadeokdo New Airport, and regional transport networks. Using the Port-Hinterland Connectivity model, it assesses Gimhae’s competitive advantages and compares them with leading global smart logistics cities. Based on this analysis, it recommends strategies-such as the “Quad-Port Strategy” and “Global Network Strategy”-to leverage locational strengths, smart infrastructure potential, multimodal connectivity, and high-value logistics industries, offering insights for the smart transformation of other hinterland port cities in Korea. |
