Abstract This study aims to define the concept of an All age-Friendly City in response to demographic aging and growing generational gaps, and to apply it to low-rise residential areas. The goal is to propose integrated design strategies that address not only housing but also social issues. Through a theoretical review and analysis of international cases, the study identifies key elements that promote intergenerational interaction: green networks and public spaces, mixed housing types, and integrated transport systems. These findings highlight the need for both physical and social components. Based on case features, the study derives directions for low-rise areas, diagnosing current problems and suggesting design guidelines. In the population domain, it analyzes the scale and age distribution to understand generational imbalance. In the cultural domain, it examines green areas, leisure spaces, housing types, and transport. The socioeconomic aspect assesses welfare, local economy, and daily services to support generational balance. Ultimately, the study offers practical design alternatives, confirming the potential for planning an All age-Friendly City.
