Abstract As the mobility rights of transportation-vulnerable groups have gained increasing attention, ensuring barrier-free mobility for wheelchair users in subway environments has emerged as a pressing concern. This study analyzes 43 stations on Seoul Subway Line 2 to compare how internal spatial structures and facility conditions affect subway station usage by wheelchair users and non-disabled passengers, aiming to propose design guidelines for mobility improvement. Space Syntax, network analysis, and Partial Least Squares (PLS) regression were applied using connectivity, integration, intelligibility, travel time, and facility variables. The results show that wheelchair users are primarily influenced by physical accessibility factors such as elevators and accessible exits, while non-disabled users are more affected by travel efficiency and spatial configuration. Greater variation in mobility across stations for wheelchair users indicates current minimum standards are insufficient for equitable access. This study suggests strengthening elevator provision and refining facility layout guidelines considering spatial structure.
