Abstract This paper presents the decentralized fuzzy observer design technique for discrete-time nonlinear interconnected systems, which are assumed to be composed of fuzzy subsystems with parametric uncertainties and unknown interconnections. To design the decentralized fuzzy observer, the estimation error dynamics is obtained, and the decentralized observer design problem is defined.
Based on the observation performance function, the decentralized fuzzy observer design method is proposed to minimize the interconnection bound to attenuation degree ratio. The proposed technique is formulated into linear matrix inequalities with minimization problem. Finally, simulation example shows the validity of the proposed observer design technique.
