| Abstract |
This paper focuses on the development of a highly secure power cable for hair dryers to ensure user safety under varied operating conditions. In hand-held appliances like hair dryers, power line disconnection represents the most cause of product failure. The study identifies the cause of cable disconnection and identifies the arc generation mechanism. Based on these findings, two practical safety conditions?the allowable bending radius and the maximum allowable current?were derived. To solve the issue, we developed parts with improved power line safety and evaluated their safety performance. The result provides practical safety conditions for hair dryer operation and contributes to improving the overall safety standard of power cables for home appliances. |
