Abstract |
There have been an increasing number of companies and institutions that have suffered tremendous losses due to frequent fire of energy storage system(ESS). The government is aware of the seriousness of the problem and is investigating the cause of the fire in the ESS through the accident investigation board. Also the government started the practical affairs for request to stop the operation from already installed ESS and to establish KS standard for safety. However, it is not easy to clarify the cause of the fire because the ESS is not limited to the product of a specific manufacturer. Generally, the cause of fire can be classified into defect of product, defect of installation and operation problem. In this paper, we analyze the problem of parallel connection of battery rack during installation and operation of ESS. To solve this problem, we propose a new independent control and equalizing operation algorithm of ESS as an alternative. |
