How to submit a Manuscript

The Transactions P of the Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers(KIEE) has the online submission and peer review system. Manuscripts should be submitted online at http://www.trans.kiee.or.kr Authors submit manuscripts and track their progress to the final decision.

Guidelines for Submitting a Manuscript for Review

Authors (KIEE members) must submit manuscripts electronically to the website. All manuscripts must be in electronic format (only '.hwp' files). Manuscripts submitted for consideration should report the results of original work. Also, survey papers from field experts will be considered for review. However, papers that have been previously published or submitted to other journals, conferences, or books in any language will not be considered for publication. Please do not include authors’ names, footnotes, acknowledgments, biography, photos, or any information that could identify the authors in the manuscript. All authors are responsible for understanding these guidelines before submitting manuscripts.

Publication Ethics Code

All submitted manuscripts should be original and should not be considered by any other scientific journal for publication at the same time. No part of the accepted manuscript should be duplicated in any other scientific journal without the permission of the Editorial Board. For the policies on research and publication ethics that are not stated in this instruction, the Statement of Ethics & Responsibilities in the Publication of Research can be applied.

Guidelines for Submitting a Final Manuscript for Publication

Once a manuscript has been accepted for publication, the authors will be notified by the Editorial board. At that point, a special format will be required for publication. Your final manuscript for publication must contain author biographies and photos and be saved in HWP format (‘.hwp’ file). Before submitting your final manuscript, please check the final template format your manuscript accordingly.

Copyright Policy

It is the KIEE policy to own the copyright of all the KIEE published technical contributions. To comply with the KIEE copyright policy, all of authors are required to sign the KIEE copyright agreement form before publication. The copyright agreement form can be downloaded from below.

1. Author details. Please do NOT include authors’ names, footnotes, photos, acknowledgements, biographies or any information which could be used to identify authors in the manuscript itself. Where available, please include ORCiDs.
2. Should contain an unstructured abstract of 200 words.
3. Between 6 and 6 keywords.
4. Funding details. Please supply all details required by your funding and grant-awarding bodies as follows:
   For single agency grants
   This work was supported by the [Funding Agency] under Grant [number xxxx].
   For multiple agency grants
   This work was supported by the [Funding Agency #1] under Grant [number xxxx]; [Funding Agency #2] under Grant [number xxxx]; and [Funding Agency #3] under Grant [number xxxx].
5. Biographical note. Please supply a short biographical note for each author. This could be adapted from your departmental website or academic networking profile and should be relatively brief (e.g. no more than 200 words).
6. Figures. Figures should be high quality (1200 dpi for line art, 600 dpi for grayscale and 300 dpi for colour, at the correct size). Figures should be supplied in one of our preferred file formats: EPS, PS, JPEG, GIF, or Microsoft Word (DOC or DOCX).
7. Tables. Tables should present new information rather than duplicating what is in the text. Readers should be able to interpret the table without reference to the text. Please supply editable files.
8. Equations. If you are submitting your manuscript as a HWP document, please ensure that equations are editable.
9. Units. Please use SI units (non-italicized).
