Abstract |
In this paper, the ESS capacity to be able to increase the operation capacity of the distribution system is calculated. Generally, a overhead feeder of power distribution system is operated at the capacity of -10MW to 10MW in normal state to supply additional loads from the other feeders in case of emergency. The operation capacity less than -10MW or more than 10MW in normal state may cause the situations where the load cannot be transfer from the other feeders. These kinds of problems can be solved using ESS. if ESS has the capacity to maintain a feeder the capacity of -10MW to 10MW, the feeder can connect to additional loads in the other feeders in emergency. Furthermore, ESS should have kW and kWh capacity to supply power to the loads during emergency. In case study, the ESS capacity required yearly in real power distribution system and the approximated charge&discharge scheduling was calculated using the proposed algorithm |
