Abstract |
Power demand of industrial consumers accounts for more than 55% of the total national demand quota, and power demand management measures are strongly required to mitigate the increase in power consumption in the industrial sector. In particular, problems such as insufficient power reserve ratio and large-scale blackouts occur in the power system due to high power consumption during peak periods such as the summer and winter seasons. In view of this, efficient load management and reduction of peak demand power are of importance. In this paper, we obtain predicted load data of industrial consumers via its historical load profile, based on this, we propose a load shifting algorithm to reduce the maximum power demand and basic cost. This is done by applying a load movement algorithm on the day-ahead predicted load data considering the facilities' operational policy and demand profile. The validity of the proposed algorithm is verified with a case study |
