Abstract |
This paper proposes an economic operation of small integrated energy systems including a TriGen. that produces electric power, cooling, and heating energy. As the proportion of renewable energy sources, whose electrical energy production depends on the weather, is increasing, there is a lot of interest in the integrated energy system that manages various energy sources beyond the conventional electricity-centered smartgrid. A 50kW-class small integrated energy system was installed by using a TriGen. that uses natural gas as fuel to produce electricity, cooling, and heating energy, and solar power and ESS. This paper presents an economic operation method from the point of view of a private business owner who owns an integrated energy system. The three scenarios propose an operation plan according to the algorithm's method. The results showed that the economic benefits of the three scenarios were similar. Among the scenarios, the third scenario was a little more economical. Economic benefits are expected to increase if large-capacity solar power is operated or SMP unit price volatility increases. |
