Abstract |
Air pollution resulting from recent rapid industrialization has been the main cause of deterioration in children's health. This paper aims to analyze the importance of air quality and ventilation in children's indoor theme park where the children enjoy the most. Experiments were conducted to analyze the changes in the concentration of indoor carbon dioxide level based on 3 natural (dome open, side window open, both dome and side window open) and 1 mechanical ventilation methods. Among the 4 cases tested, the case with both the dome and the side window open was observed to be the most effective in maintaining low indoor carbon dioxide concentration. The results show that when designing a ventilation system for children's theme park where users are mostly young children who are vulnerable to poor indoor air quality, ventilation methods considering proper air supply, exhaust locations and mechanical air flow rates are important. |
