Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to improve the efficiency of natural ventilation by applying windcatcher Louver to the windows of apartment houses. As a result of comparison of the CO2 concentration (1.8 kg/㎥) for 320 seconds, the natural ventilation performance was increased by 4.6% when the louver was installed. As the angle of the louver of the large louver increases, the area of the top of the louver becomes wider and the wind speed becomes the highest at 8°. Therefore, when the airfoil type windcatcher is applied to the window opening of the apartment house, the natural ventilation efficiency can be improved by about 4.6% and the maximum effect can be expected especially at the angle of 8 degrees. |
