Abstract The cooling-dehumidifier unit was developed with the integration of the thermoelectric device with supplying electric power source from the PV system installed outside of a building. The cooling surface of the thermoelectric device is used for cooling and dehumidification of air, The heating surface eliminates the moisture of the rotating dehumidification filter. Thus, the purpose of this study was to investigate experimentally the performance of the developed cooling-dehumidifier unit. Average air temperature was 25.3℃ with average absolute humidity of 0.0122 kg/kg [DA]. After the air passed the cooling-dehumidifier unit the temperature and humidity decreased to 0.8℃ and 0.0019 kg/kg [DA] respectively, with average air temperature of 24.5℃ and average absolute humidity at 0.0103 kg/kg [DA]. The rotating dehumidification filter was examined to investigate the performance of resurrection. The heating surface of thermoelectric device evaporated water contained in the filter and the COP was calculated as 0.11. The result provides a similar pattern to the previous research.
