| Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to derive improvement suggestions for the BEMS industry based on the field survey of actual operating conditions at 19 BEMS installed sites with more than six months operation. While the findings are somewhat disappointing, they were identified as common phenomena that could occur in the early stage of the industry. In particular, it is difficult to expect the growth of the industry due to the deterioration of energy users’ BEMS acceptance in the situation wherein energy saving is not achieved. Thus, it is natural to need institutional and technical improvements. The suggestions are that BEMS should be more oriented towards energy savings by adopting active EEMs, and the BEMS industry needs more technically trained human resources for efficient operation. By doing so, the growth of the BEMS industry could be achieved for more efficient energy use and savings in building sections. |
