Abstract |
This study was conducted to prepare a plan to apply TiO2 photocatalysts to ventilation systems to reduce NOx, a representative particulate matter precursor, to solve the recent particulate matter problem. Ventilation is a typical way to reduce enclosed indoor pollutants. However, other than applying filters, the ability to reduce precursor substances is limited. Therefore, this study intended to verify NOx reduction by applying a TiO2 photocatalyst coating material to the inside of the ventilation duct and exposing it to UV-A light. The experiment was conducted by changing the reference light and light volume of ISO 22197-1. The results showed that the NOx reduction was proportional to the UV-A light volume change and that the duct ventilation system could reduce NOx by more than 95%, even at low light volume. |
