Abstract |
Adsorption chillers have attracted considerable attention as they are energy saving and environmentally friendly systems. In this paper, water vapor adsorption experiments of adsorbent coating plate were performed in a batch type adsorption apparatus. The adsorbent and refrigerant used for the experiment were FAPO (FerroAluminoPhOsphate) and water, respectively. Four operating conditions of the adsorbent coating plate, including binder ratio, coating thickness, evaporator temperature, and adsorption bed temperature were used in the experiment. Experimental results showed that the adsorbent coating plate gave the best binder ratio of 10%, coating thickness of 0.2 mm, and adsorption time of 7 min. it was also found that evaporator temperature of 14℃ and adsorption bed temperature of 25℃ showed better performance in adsorption rate than other evaporator temperatures (6℃, 10℃) and adsorption bed temperatures (30℃, 35℃). |
