Abstract |
Along with the development of low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants to prevent global warming, the development of a falling film type evaporator is required to reduce the charge amount of refrigerant in an evaporator. Unlike existing flooded evaporators, the development of a falling film evaporator using refrigerant is still in an incomplete state. In this study, factors affecting performance characteristics of falling film evaporation using R-1233zd(E) refrigerant were experimentally confirmed and effects of film Re and heat flux on heat transfer were investigated. As film Re of each tube increased, heat transfer coefficient also increased. It then converged after a certain film Re. The relationship between the heat flux and the heat transfer coefficient was examined. |
