Abstract |
This study conducted an energy performance evaluation by applying a composite heat source heat pump system to artificial light-type smart farms, simulating a total of five cases (Cases 1 to Case 5) including a heat pump system with Ground heat source and Water heat source, respectively. In Case 2, the average COP in May for cooling was 5.23 and the energy consumption was 19.69 MWh. This resulted in a 9.75% lower COP compared to Case 4 and a 9.14% higher energy requirement. In Case 2, the average December COP for heating was 2.37 and the monthly average minimum energy consumption was 34.66 MWh. This resulted in a 4.22% higher COP compared to Case 4 and a 4.52% lower energy requirement. Artificial light-type smart farms require cooling even in winter due to lighting loads. Underground temperature rises due to their relatively high cooling loads compared to heating loads. Therefore, it is necessary to construct a system in a way that can suppress the increase in underground temperature. |
