Abstract |
Since many people live in large cities in Korea, buildings built in the downtown areas of such cities are being constructed as high-rise buildings. Additionally, to use the land efficiently, the parking lot for many vehicles is built underground, and is enlarged and multi-storied. It is critical that such a facility has an adequate ventilation function, to dilute as well as filter the exhaust gas of the vehicles as well as a smoke control function, to remove fire pollutants. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of the location of the supply louver or the induction fan installed for ventilation of an underground parking lot, applied to apartment houses and commercial buildings pursuant to ventilation performance. In conclusion, the contribution of the induction fan to the improvement of ventilation performance increases as the air change rate decreases, and it is critical to consider the uniform arrangement of the supply air louvers as the air change rate increases. |
